Our first Live Broadcast

Westchase Music School is proud to having completed the first LIVE Broadcast of our 6 student recitals on Saturday May 11th, 2019. It was an unforgettable experience with many amazing talents and touching moments.

Unfortunately the sound of our live stream was not always optimal. Especially the 11:30 recitals had some poor audio quality. We apologize for that and will make sure that for the upcoming winter recital the sound will be perfect. For the upcoming Live Streams we will have a new setup that allows to store the student recitals on local memory cards. If something should go wrong with the live upload to youtube – such as an internet glitch – we will be able to delete the live stream video and then post-upload it from the local file.

Last but not least a firm shout-out to our dedicated Video Crew that was working all day long during the student recital. 6 hours of live Broadcast needs a lot of perseverance and patience. Our video crew Jiya Giridharan (Video Switcher), Rahul Ranjith Kumar (Camera Operator), Hana Struga (Web Presenter), Owen Wyatt (Camera Operator) AnLan Xu (Remote Camera Operator) and Ashrith Kolli (Camera Operator).

The Video Equipment used: 3 cameras Panasonic GH5 each with motorized zoom and Lilliput 7″ production screen. HDMI to SDI converters on each camera. SDI cables are connected to Blackmagic ATEM switcher. Sound: 4 condenser microphones connected to 2 cameras. Intercom from cameraman to video switcher. David Clark headsets used. One headsets had a gel leak. That is why you see  one operator (Rahul) with a tissue paper on his left ear.
